I. Main Experiments:
The laboratory is primarily dedicated to experimental teaching in material processing, forming, and manufacturing.
The experiments also involve computer simulation and modeling of typical industrial processes and application exercises of finite element software. Examples include (1) finite element analysis of stress and deformation in thermal processing, (2) finite element analysis of temperature field under external moving heat source conditions, (3) simulation of temperature field in metal solidification process and analysis of shrinkage porosity defects, (4) metal filling process simulation, (5) micro-simulation of metal solidification structure and prediction of mechanical properties, (6) finite difference method for temperature field simulation and calculation, (7) treatment methods and effects of various welding heat sources, (8) experimental exploration of simplification methods for welding structure and welding processes, (9) and numerical simulation of metal specimen filling process using the SOLA-VOF method.
II. Major Equipment:
The laboratory is equipped with multiple heat treatment furnaces, various hardness testers and microhardness testers, universal testing machines, one video device, one miniature testing machine, and several pre-grinding machines and polishing machines, among others.
It also has various types of process simulation and finite element analysis software.
