Research overview

Our main research areas are, failure mechanism in active magnetic suspension bearing, response recognition and active control strategy during touchdowns, collision and friction interaction in rotor dynamics, magnetic transmission and regulation of magnetic speed, friction materials at high temperature, research and technology in reciprocating rubber and plastic seals, reactor sealing for hydrogen fuel cell. The funding supports are from the National Science and Technology Major Projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Aviation Funding, and other projects.

A technical director, I has succeeded in having the projects of the 11th Five-Year Plan for Science and Technology, “The technology of physical purification treatment of ballast water in oceangoing ships’ (Grant No.2006BAC11B05). A systematic product technology of ballast water has been established with China's independent intellectual property rights.

Other funding are from national “863” plan and the Olympic projects, such as, design and production of rehabilitation robot with biofeedback neural system, biofeedback based system for diving and rowing training, training device for lower limb special strength, sports training, and medical rehabilitation equipment.
