Areas of Research Interests/ Research Projects

Against the backdrop of the significant demand for "independent controllability" of key basic components such as mechanical seals and sliding bearings in high-end equipment in fields like nuclear power and aero-engines, relevant applied basic research has been carried out. The working mechanisms of key components like seals and bearings, as well as the core technologies for independent research and development, have been mastered. A brand-new design concept has been proposed, forming a design theory system with independent intellectual property rights, and several digital design platforms have been developed. The achievements have been applied in engineering practices such as the seal design of model engines and the improvement of the seal reliability of nuclear main pumps, generating social and economic benefits. Aiming at the bottleneck problem of online monitoring in the domestic and foreign mechanical seal industry, an innovative intelligent monitoring method based on the triboelectric principle has been proposed, and a technical roadmap has been formulated, providing a new means for the application of artificial intelligence in the traditional mechanical engineering field.

Chief Scientist of the basic research project of the "Two Machines Special Project"; as a project/topic leader, he has undertaken 1 national 973 project and 4 general programs of the National Natural Science Foundation; he has served as the deputy leader of 2 topics in national major special projects. In addition, he has participated in more than 10 cooperation projects with other enterprises and public institutions.

Honors And Awards

She has won a total of 4 provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards, including 1 first prize and 3 second prizes.

She has been awarded 1 second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award; 2 first prizes of Beijing Municipal Teaching Achievement Award; the first prize of the inaugural "Kede Cup" Industry-Education Integration Innovation Teaching Competition sponsored by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. She has edited 1 national-level textbook and 2 Beijing Municipal Excellent Higher Education Textbooks; and has obtained 22 teaching achievement awards above the university level, such as the first prize of the inaugural "Tsinghua University Young Teachers' Basic Skills Competition". She presides over Tsinghua University's (undergraduate) excellent course Practice of Product Engineering Design.

Academic Achievement

As the first author, second author, and corresponding author, she has published more than 100 papers, including 41 papers indexed by SCI and 65 papers indexed by EI, with a total of 1,850 citations across various databases. As the first inventor, she has been granted 18 Chinese invention patents, 2 patents entering the PCT phase, 1 US patent published, and 1 German patent applied for; 2 technologies have been transferred. As the first completer, she has obtained 4 software copyrights. She presided over the compilation of Mechanical Seals and Sliding Bearings for Nuclear Main Pumps, the first domestic monograph in this field, which was prioritized for funding by the National Science and Technology Academic Monograph Publishing Fund. She was listed among the top 5% of Highly Cited Scholars by CNKI in 2024.

As the first and second author, she has published 2 teaching research papers indexed by CSSCI, 1 of which was selected as a CNKI High PCSI Paper and Highly Cited Paper. She has edited 6 textbooks in the mechanical basic course series, including 2 Beijing Municipal Excellent Higher Education Textbooks and 1 textbook included in the National "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" Textbook Series.
