To enhance students’ leisure pursuits, ignite the enthusiasm of freshmen for scientific and technological innovation, and lay the groundwork for their involvement in advanced competitions and scientific research, the Student Association for Science and Technology of the DME hosted the Mechanical City Maze Competition for sophomore students during the fall semester. This competition is designed to cultivate practical engineering skills, introduce participants to the process of designing electromechanical products, nurture individual capabilities, and kindle a passion for these subjects.

With the theme “Mechanical City Maze”, this competition welcomes participation from students, either as individuals or in teams. Participants are tasked with designing and operating mechanical stone-throwing devices capable of performing activities such as long-distance throwing, designated throwing, and wall destruction. There are no limitations on the shape and structure of the stone-throwing devices, as long as they are remote-controlled equipment meeting the specified size constraints for the competition. The organizer provides the competition site and measuring equipment to support participants in their creative endeavors.
