November 3, 2025, Beijing – A Columbia Engineering delegation visited Tsinghua University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering to hold a graduate program information exchange session, aiming to boost engineering education collaboration between the two institutions.
The Columbia team included Ms. Gabrielle Gannon, Associate Dean of Graduate Admissions, Ms. Natasha Stanislas, Graduate Admissions Officer, and Mr. Jason Li, Columbia alumnus, China Trip Coordinator. Wen Peng, Vice Dean of Mechanical Engineering Department and Dr. Lin Zhirong, Deputy Director of the Teaching Office attended the session.
During the session, Ms. Gabrielle Gannon outlined Columbia Engineering’s discipline structure, research facilities, and graduate program admissions policies. Ms. Natasha Stanislas detailed application procedures, scholarships, and campus resources. Students raised questions on curriculum, research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and career prospects, with the delegation giving in-depth responses.
This session built a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation between the two universities and also provided Tsinghua students with a high-quality platform for international exchange and opportunities for further studies.
