On April 28th, hundreds of alumni of DME gathered in reception room in Main building to witness the establishment of DME Alumni Association of Tsinghua Alumni Association.
The vice chairperson of university council Guo Yong, the vice secretary general of Tsinghua alumni association Chen Weiqiang participated in the congress to express their congratulation.Hundreds of alumni also attended the congress, including academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences Pan Jiluan and Luo Jianbin and academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering Liu Baicheng and Wang Yuming.The chair of department CPC Committee Lv Zhigang hosted the meeting.
The vice chairperson of university council Guo Yong delivered a speech in the congress, he expressed sincere greetings and best wishes to the alumni. Guo Yong hoped the DME Alumni Association could carry on the fine tradition of Tsinghua Alumni Association, strengthening connection and cooperation of alumni and playing a role of bridge and tie.
Luo Jianbin, the dean of college of mechanical engineering, he claimed that the DME would consistently serve for and proud of the alumni.
The Dean of Department of Mechanical EngineeringWang Jiadao introduced the development situation of DME, including discipline structure, talent cultivation and scientific research. He hoped to build the development platform with alumni together.
